- 7th trip to Marshall; 3rd time in winter; 1st winter visit in excellent weather.
- 1st time for Duncan and Marissa.
- Stellar views from Avalanche Lake and Lake Colden.
- Met about twenty hikers/skiers during the course of the busy day.
- Herd-path was abundantly obvious (a packed "gutter" from base to summit).
- Enjoyed a moonlit walk back to the Loj.
